MAUREEN LAUFENBERG
LPCC, CCTP
Clinic Director
How I work: I am a down-to-earth, solution-focused therapist. I’m trained in a number of practices that support clients in identifying underlying wounds as well as underlying strengths, and offer education and healing opportunities to shake off that "stuck" or "distressed" feeling. Therapy can also be a proactive place that we go to maintain our wellness, and ensure that life feels value-aligned.
You, the client, are the center of the work, and my role is to do my part in creating a space that amplifies the best in you, and supports your efforts to reduce the burden of problems, pain or worry.
I integrate Narrative Therapy, Neuroscience & trauma research, Buddhist Psychology, Polyvagal Theory, EMDR, IFS and Somatic modalities. Our nervous systems are at the root of our bodily peace and trauma healing, so our work will often include some nervous system education.
I am a sex-positive, LGBTQI friendly clinician working from an intersectional and justice-informed framework. My practice strives to be a safe space for people of all walks of life and in all bodies.

Who I work with: I often work with clients in the arts, non-profit sector, education, medicine, law and business. I am skilled at helping highly intellectual people get back into their bodies, which can often take courage, but can be tremendously healing.
